How do Hubs and Sensors work together in the MOCREO Smart System?

You do not manually assign each Bluetooth LE (BLE) or LoRa Sensor to one specific Hub.

BLE and LoRa Sensors

BLE and LoRa Sensors use a dynamic proxy relationship with compatible Hubs:

  • The Sensor and Hub must belong to the same Asset/Home.
  • The Sensor must be within the compatible Hub's radio coverage.
  • Any compatible Hub that meets both conditions can receive and forward the Sensor's data.
  • If more than one compatible Hub is in range, those Hubs can act as proxies for the same Sensor.

Therefore, you do not need to remove a BLE or LoRa Sensor from one Hub and re-pair it with another when you move the Sensor between Hub coverage areas. Keep the devices in the same Asset/Home and make sure the Sensor remains within range of a compatible, online Hub.

For example, if you have two Hubs and four compatible BLE or LoRa Sensors in one Asset/Home, all four Sensors can be covered by either Hub. The actual proxy relationship is established automatically according to compatibility and signal coverage. Hub capacity limits still apply.

Zigbee Sensors

Zigbee is the exception. A Zigbee Sensor is bound to only one Hub at a time. To move a Zigbee Sensor to another Hub, unbind it from the current Hub and pair it with the new Hub.
