Sensor Battery Drains Abnormally

Use the 7-day and 30-day trends to identify abnormal Sensor battery consumption and contact support with the Sensor SN.

Contact MOCREO support when a Sensor loses battery much faster than expected. Include the Sensor serial number (SN) in the problem description.

How to identify abnormal drain

  • A battery decrease of more than 10% in 7 days is an abnormal trend.
  • A battery decrease of more than 40% in 30 days is an abnormal trend.

Compare the battery history, not a single battery value. Ignore small temporary increases caused by measurement or reporting updates. Cold environments and repeated reconnections can also accelerate battery use, so include the deployment temperature and signal condition when contacting support.

Troubleshooting by battery type

  1. Rechargeable lithium-battery model: Do not open the Sensor. Record the Sensor SN, deployment environment, temperature, signal condition, and comparison dates, then contact support.
  2. Replaceable-battery model: Install new approved batteries, then observe whether the abnormal trend returns. Use an approved low-temperature battery when required by the deployment.
  3. Still abnormal after replacement: Contact support with the Sensor SN, battery brand/type, deployment environment, and completed steps.

What to send support

Provide the Sensor SN, model, battery type, deployment temperature, approximate starting and current battery values, the dates used for the comparison, and a screenshot of the battery history if available.
