The rated line-of-sight range for BLE MOCREO sensors is about 40 m / 131 ft. Real-world range is usually shorter.
- Water and objects containing water, including food and people, absorb Bluetooth signals effectively.
- Refrigerators, freezers, walls, and long distances can reduce reliability.
- Try different hub antenna orientations and sensor placements.
- Change one condition at a time and observe whether communication improves.
Zigbee sensors
The rated line-of-sight range for Zigbee MOCREO sensors is about 100 m / 325 ft. Real-world range is usually shorter.
- Metal and objects containing metal absorb or block Zigbee signals effectively.

Placement tip
If communication is intermittent, the system is near the edge of reliable signal. A small placement improvement can make the connection stable.
