Sensor Measurement Accuracy
Check each Sensor model's measurement accuracy and use a same-model comparison before deciding that data is abnormal.
Use this guide when a Sensor reading differs from an expected value or another instrument. The values below describe the normal difference between same-model Sensors in a stable environment.

- Compare Sensors at the same time and in the same location. A refrigerator display may show a control value from a different position.
- Keep probes away from vents, cooling coils, frost, door edges, and direct defrost heat. Allow readings to stabilize through normal cooling cycles.
- Place two uncalibrated Sensors of the same model together. A small difference may be within the model specification; a Sensor with a clearly different curve is more likely abnormal.
- Check the model's measurement range and accuracy before using compensation. Use compensation only for a confirmed fixed offset, not for changing environmental patterns.
