Supported Alert Events and Notification Methods

The available alert events depend on the device model, its sensors or probes, and the alert rules configured in the MOCREO Smart App.

The available alert events depend on the device model, its sensors or probes, and the alert rules configured in the MOCREO Smart App.

Supported Alert Events

Alert eventWhen it is generatedApplies to
Temperature alertA reading moves outside the configured temperature range.Devices that measure temperature
Humidity alertA reading moves outside the configured humidity range.Devices that measure humidity
Hub or directly connected device offlineA Hub or direct-cloud device stops communicating.Smart System Hubs and direct Wi-Fi devices
Hub-connected Sensor offlineA Sensor stops reporting through a compatible Hub.Hub-connected BLE and LoRa Sensors
Low batteryThe reported battery level reaches the low-battery condition.Battery-powered devices that report battery level
Probe disconnectedAn external probe is disconnected or abnormal.Devices with supported probe-status detection
Weak signalThe system detects a low communication signal.Supported wireless devices
Water detected or water-level alertA configured water-detection or water-level condition is triggered.Supported water-monitoring devices
No-water alertA configured no-water condition is triggered.Supported water-monitoring devices
Freeze warningA supported device detects a freezing condition.Devices that support freeze detection
Door-status warningA configured door-status condition is triggered.Supported door sensors

When applicable, the system also records recovery events, such as a reading returning to its configured range, a device coming back online, a probe reconnecting, or a water, freeze, or door condition returning to normal.

Offline Notification Timing

MOCREO Smart System supports offline notifications for both Hubs and Sensors. The offline determination time depends on the connection type:

Device typeWhen the offline notification is triggered
Smart System HubAfter the Hub has stopped communicating with the cloud for approximately 25–30 minutes
NS1, NS2, or NS3 Wi-Fi SensorAfter the Sensor has stopped communicating with the cloud for approximately 25–30 minutes
Hub-connected LoRa SensorImmediately after the Hub reports that the Sensor is disconnected
Hub-connected Bluetooth LE Sensor10 minutes after the Hub reports that the Sensor is disconnected

Power Failure Notifications

If a Hub loses power, it stops communicating with the cloud and the Smart System can generate a Hub or device offline event. If a Hub-connected Sensor stops reporting, the system can generate a Sensor offline event.

An offline notification does not identify the exact cause. Power loss, an unplugged adapter, a network outage, router settings, or another connection problem can all make a device appear offline. Check the Hub power indicator and network after receiving the notification.

If the Hub has no power, it cannot sound its own buzzer or forward new Sensor data until power returns. The cloud can still notify your phone or email after it determines that the Hub is offline.

Notification Methods

  • Alarm Logs: View alert and recovery events in the MOCREO Smart App under Message > Alarm Logs.
  • App push notifications: Allow notifications for the MOCREO Smart App in your phone settings. Do Not Disturb or Power Saving restrictions may prevent delivery.
  • Email notifications: In the App, open Message > Notification Settings, enable Allow Email Notification, and enable Device Alarm. Hub and Sensor offline events are included in the Device Alarm category.
  • Critical Alerts: Available on supported iOS configurations for important alerts.
  • SMS notifications: Currently limited to supported LW1 notification-service configurations.
  • Local sound and light: Depending on the alert rule and hardware, a Hub, buzzer-capable Sensor, or LB1 may provide a local alarm. A Hub cannot provide a local alarm while it has no power.

Before Relying on Notifications

  1. Confirm that the MOCREO Smart App has notification permission on the phone.
  2. Keep the phone connected to the Internet and review Do Not Disturb and Power Saving settings.
  3. Enable Device Alarm in the App email settings if email delivery is required.
  4. Configure the applicable device alert rules for temperature, humidity, water, door status, or other monitored conditions.
  5. Test the intended alert path before using it for critical monitoring.

Not every alert or delivery method applies to every model. Confirm the options shown in the alert settings for the specific device.
