Create and Manage API Keys
Contact SupportPath: Sidebar → Integrations → API Keys → Create API key
An API key lets an external integration access the selected asset through the MOCREO Public APIs. Each asset can have up to 10 API keys.
Create an API Key
Path: Sidebar → Integrations → API Keys → Create API key
- Enter a Display name (up to 100 characters).
- Select Permissions. Use the Read-only or Read & write presets, or pick individual permissions grouped by Asset, Devices, Automations, and Members. Grant only what the integration needs: a leaked key can do everything you select.
- Optional: set an Expiration time. Leave it empty to keep the key active until you delete it.
- Click Create API key.
- In Save your new API key, click Copy key and store the key securely.
The key is shown only once
After you close this dialog, the Portal shows only the key prefix. If you lose the key, delete it and create a new one.
Use the Key
Send the key in the X-API-Key request header. See Public APIs for available endpoints.
Review and Delete API Keys
Path: Sidebar → Integrations → API Keys
The table shows each key's Display name, Prefix, Permissions, Expires at, and Last used time. Click Delete on a row and confirm to revoke a key. Anything using it stops working immediately. Keys cannot be edited; to change permissions, create a new key and delete the old one.
