Alexa Integration

Use the MOCREO Alexa skill to link your MOCREO Smart account and ask Alexa for a sensor's temperature.

Alexa's menus can change between app versions and the original Alexa and Alexa+ experiences. Use Amazon's linked help articles for the current menu locations; the MOCREO account and voice-command requirements below still apply.

Prerequisites

• Use MOCREO Smart App v1.3.0 or later, preferably the latest available version.
• Set up your Hub and Sensors in the MOCREO Smart App and confirm that they are online and reporting temperature.
• Have your MOCREO Smart account email and password ready.
• Sign in to the Alexa app with the same Amazon account used by the Alexa device you will speak to.
• The MOCREO Alexa skill is currently available in the United States region only.

Integration Steps

Find and enable the MOCREO skill

1. Open the Alexa app and find its skill search. Follow Amazon's Turn Alexa Skills On or Off instructions, or Access Your Skills with Alexa+ if you use Alexa+.
2. Search for MOCREO and open the skill published by MOCREO.
3. Choose the option to enable the skill, such as Enable Skill or Enable to Use. If it is already enabled, open its account-linking option instead.

Link your MOCREO Smart account

1. Follow the skill's account-linking prompt to open the MOCREO sign-in page.
2. Sign in with the MOCREO Smart account that contains your devices. Use your MOCREO credentials on this page, rather than your Amazon credentials.
3. Complete any authorization prompts and wait for confirmation that MOCREO has been successfully linked.
4. Return to the Alexa app and finish any remaining setup prompts.

If Alexa offers device discovery, follow the prompts. A message that no new devices were found does not by itself mean account linking failed: check whether the device is already listed in Alexa, then try the voice command below. Supported Voice Commands

After linking, use one of these supported command patterns:

• "Alexa, ask MOCREO what is the temperature of bedroom?"
• "Alexa, ask MOCREO what is the temperature of living room?"

Replace bedroom or living room with the sensor's name in the MOCREO Smart App. Keep the rest of the wording, including ask MOCREO, as shown. Other command variations are currently not supported.

Troubleshooting

The MOCREO skill is missing

Check that your Amazon account uses the supported United States region, and search for MOCREO in the skill search rather than the device list. If you cannot locate skill search after an Alexa app update, use Amazon's Alexa Skills help for the current entry point.

Account linking fails

Confirm that the credentials work in the MOCREO Smart App and that you are linking the account that contains your devices. Follow Amazon's Linking Your Account to an Alexa Skill Doesn't Work for current app requirements and the option to link through the Amazon website.

Alexa cannot return the sensor temperature

Confirm that the sensor is online and reporting temperature in the MOCREO Smart App. Check the sensor name and use the supported command wording above. Also check that the skill is enabled and linked under the Amazon account you are using with Alexa.

If the skill still does not respond correctly, follow Amazon's Alexa Skill Isn't Working Correctly. Have your MOCREO login details ready before disabling and enabling the skill again, because you may need to link the account again.
