How Can I Improve Hub and Sensor Signal?
Improve Wi-Fi, Bluetooth LE, and Zigbee signal between the Hub, Sensor, and router by changing placement and reducing interference.
Use this guide when the App shows a low Hub-to-router or Sensor-to-Hub signal level, or when the Sensor disconnects frequently.
Improve placement
- Move the Hub closer to the router and move the Sensor closer to the Hub. Test the devices in the same room first.
- Install the Hub as high as practical and keep its antenna vertical.
- Keep the Hub and Sensor away from metal cabinets, concrete walls, large appliances, microwaves, and other wireless equipment.
- For cold storage, keep the Sensor body outside when the model uses an external probe. Place only the probe inside.
- Check Signal Level again after the next readings. If the signal improves and reporting becomes stable, keep the new placement.
If the signal remains low after repositioning, add another Hub where supported and contact support with the Hub SN, Sensor SN, signal value, and deployment photos.
NM1 can't connect to Wi-Fi?
Regarding mobile hotspots, the NM1 currently only supports the 2.4GHz band - iOS: In Settings, select Cellular, then Personal Hotspot, you will see Maximum Compatibility, click on...
Wi-Fi/Router Changed - How to Reconnect
Run the Hub setup guide again and select the new 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network or enter its new password.
