My Hub Setup Failed. What Should I Do?
Troubleshoot H1B and H2 Setup failures in the MOCREO Sensor App, from device discovery through network connection and account binding.
Use the branch that matches the step where Setup stops. H1B supports Ethernet or 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi; H2 uses 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only.
Already set up but now offline?
If the Hub was working before and is now offline, follow Hub Offline instead.

App Cannot Find the Hub
- Connect the Hub to power and wait for it to start.
- In the Sensor App, tap + and select the exact Hub model: H1B or H2.
- Follow the App prompt to enter Setup mode. The Hub status light should flash blue.
- Keep the phone close to the Hub. Enable Bluetooth and grant the App the requested Bluetooth, Location, or Nearby Devices permissions, then scan again.
Connect to Wi-Fi Troubleshooting
- Connect the phone to the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network that the Hub will use. The Hub cannot join a 5 GHz-only network.
- Move the Hub and phone close to the router, confirm that Wi-Fi is working on another device, and enter the password again.
- Use WPA/WPA2 Personal or an open network during Setup. Avoid hidden or enterprise Wi-Fi networks.
- Check that the router's DHCP pool and device limit allow another connection. If several access points share the same Wi-Fi name, temporarily disable the others or move beside the intended access point.
- Retry with a 2.4 GHz phone hotspot. If hotspot Setup works, the original router or network policy is blocking the Hub.
Connect to Ethernet Troubleshooting
Ethernet Setup applies to H1B only.
- Reseat the Ethernet cable at the H1B and router or switch, then check the port indicators.
- Try another known-working cable and router or switch port.
- Connect the phone to the same local network as the H1B, return the H1B to Setup mode, and scan again.
- Confirm that the router provides an IP address through DHCP.
Cloud Registration or Account Binding Failed
- Power the Hub off and on, wait about one minute for startup to finish, then repeat Setup.
- Confirm that the network has Internet access. On managed networks, check the firewall requirements.
- Close and reopen the Sensor App if Setup stops while synchronizing device information, then retry.
- If the App says the device is not recorded, cannot be bound, is in development mode, or has a storage error, contact support. These errors cannot be corrected through router settings.
Setup is complete when the Hub appears online in the App. If it still fails, contact MOCREO support with the Hub model and SN, connection method, status-light behavior, App version, and the exact step or error message where Setup stops.
