How to Share Devices with Others (Multi-user Alerts)

If you have the following needs, you can achieve them through the "Invite Member" feature (Home Sharing) in the MOCREO App:

  • You want multiple people (such as family members or colleagues) to receive alert notifications simultaneously.
  • You want to invite others to view the real-time data and status of your devices.

By inviting others to join your MOCREO "Home" (Organization), they will gain access to the devices under that Home, allowing them to monitor data and receive alerts just like you.

How to Invite Members

Prerequisites

  • Administrator (You): You have set up the devices in your MOCREO account.
  • New Member (Invitee): They must download the MOCREO Smart App and register their own MOCREO account.

Steps

Step 1: Administrator Generates Invitation QR Code

  1. Open the MOCREO Smart App on your phone.
  2. Navigate to Me (Profile) > Home Management.
  3. Select the Home where your devices are located.
  4. Tap "Invite Member".
  5. A QR code will be displayed on your screen.

Step 2: New Member Scans to Join

  1. The new member opens the MOCREO Smart App on their phone and logs in.
  2. Tap the [+] button in the top right corner of the main page.
  3. Select "Scan" to scan the QR code displayed on the Administrator's phone.
  4. Once scanned, follow the prompts to confirm joining.

Important Notes

  1. App Scanner: Ensure the new member uses the built-in scanner within the MOCREO Smart App, not a generic system camera or third-party scanner.
  2. Permissions: Grant the App permission to access the camera if prompted.
  3. Time Limit: For security reasons, the QR code is valid for only 10 minutes. If it expires, the Administrator needs to refresh/re-enter the page to generate a new one.
