My Sensor is Offline. What Should I Do?

(Applies to Bluetooth LE Sensors and LoRa Sensors)

Part A: General Diagnostics

If you're on-site, we recommend checking these steps sequentially:

Check Hub Status

Determine if the sensor offline issue is related to the Hub. Ensure the Hub is online and connected to the internet.

Verify Sensor Battery

  • Press the setup button for 1s.
  • Check for a brief blue LED flash.
  • Low battery? Recharge (if applicable) or replace the batteries.

Reposition Sensor

Check if the distance or obstacles are causing disconnection.
- Place the Hub and sensor in an elevated position in the same space.
- Avoid metal obstacles and electronic signal interference.
- Monitor the real-time signal level:
H5 >>> Sensor App >>> Select sensor >>> Press encoder twice >>> View signal level

Hardware/Software Failure

If the sensor remains offline even when placed near the Hub:
- Please contact us.
- Provide the sensor SN and Name for further support.

Part B: Advanced Diagnostics (Specific Models)

LS1 Sensor: Low-Temperature Environment Issues

If your LS1 is deployed in a fridge or freezer and goes offline, it may be due to the following:

  • Battery Performance: Standard batteries may struggle to discharge properly in extreme cold. Early versions of LS1 might not have included dedicated low-temperature batteries.
  • Hardware Sensitivity: In rare cases, low temperatures can affect the internal MCU or cause abnormal power consumption.

Recommended Steps: 1. Remove the battery cover and check if you are using a dedicated low-temperature battery. 2. If not, replace it with a low-temperature battery and monitor stability. 3. If the issue persists with a low-temperature battery, it may be a hardware defect triggered by the cold.

Note: If the hardware is suspected to be defective, please provide your order information and shipping address to MOCREO support for a replacement.

LW1 Sensor: Communication Test

Action: Single press the button to test communication with the Hub.

  • Symptom: LED flashes, but no beep.
    • If not set up: This is normal. Complete the setup in the App first.
    • If already set up: Communication failure. Check Hub status or reduce distance.
  • Symptom: No light and no beep.
    • Power failure. Please check or replace the battery.
  • Symptom: LED flashes and beeps.
    • The sensor is communicating normally with the Hub.
LD1 / LB1 Sensor: Signal Diagnostics

Action: Single press the button to test LoRa communication.

  • Symptom: Blue LED flashes, pauses, then flashes again.
    • Normal. The sensor is communicating correctly with the Hub. If it still shows offline in the App, the issue may be with the Hub's connection.
  • Symptom: Blue LED flashes only once.
    • Communication failure. The sensor is functioning but did not receive a response from the Hub.
  • Symptom: No Light.
    • Power supply issue or hardware failure.
