Setup

Common Hub Setup Issues

Step 1: Connect the device

Your mobile device completes Bluetooth connection with the H5-Lite through the MOCREO Smart App. If you encounter failure at this step, we recommend checking the following aspects:

  1. Ensure that the MOCREO Smart App has been granted the necessary Bluetooth permissions (on Android 11 and lower versions, location permissions might also be required).

  2. Bring the H5-Lite and the mobile device closer to each other to avoid issues with establishing a proper Bluetooth connection due to excessive distance.

  3. The App's reliance on a particular Bluetooth service has not been correctly initialized, or it may be due to previously cached Bluetooth pairing information causing connection problems. We recommend the following steps:

    1. Disable the Bluetooth function on your mobile device, then re-enable it.
    2. Simultaneously disconnect the power supply to the H5-Lite and reconnect it (power cycle).
    3. Re-enter the App and attempt to add the H5-Lite again. Observe whether the H5-Lite successfully completes the setup process.

Step 2: Synchronize the device information

If you fail at this step, the solution remains consistent with Step 1.

Step 3: Retrieve the AP (Access Point) list

If you fail at this step, the solution remains consistent with Step 1.

Step 4: Synchronize the device settings

If you fail at this step, the solution remains consistent with Step 1.

Step 5: Connect to the network

The H5-Lite will proactively connect to your Wi-Fi AP and attempt to establish a network connection. If you encounter any issues at this step, please follow the troubleshooting steps below:

  1. H5-Lite LED display shows a corresponding error code

You can click here to find the corresponding solution based on the error code.

  2. H5-Lite LED display does not show a corresponding error code

The H5-Lite failed to connect to the Wi-Fi AP:

    • Incorrect Wi-Fi password
      • Modify the password, verify its correctness, and re-add the H5-Lite.
    • Unstable or affected network status
      • Ensure that the on-site network status is good, and try to avoid obstacles and sources of signal interference between the H5-Lite and the router.
    • Router settings limit the number of connected devices, preventing the H5-Lite from connecting
      • Access the router's configuration page to change the limit on the number of connected devices. If you are unfamiliar with this process, you can consult the router manufacturer or seek further support and assistance from your IT personnel.

The H5-Lite successfully connected to the Wi-Fi AP, but it cannot access the internet:

    • Please check if there are any firewall policies restricting ports 123, 80, 443, and 5684 in the network environment on site. You can follow these steps to perform the check:

      1. Obtain the router's IP address.
      2. Step 2: Access the router's settings page.
      3. Step 3: Check for port restrictions in the advanced settings.

Step 6: Bind the account

The H5-Lite successfully connected to the Wi-Fi AP, but it cannot access the internet:

  • Please check if there are any firewall policies restricting ports 123, 80, 443, and 5684 in the network environment on site. You can follow these steps to perform the check:

    1. Obtain the router's IP address.
    2. Step 2: Access the router's settings page.
    3. Step 3: Check for port restrictions in the advanced settings.
