BLE Sensor Connection and OTA Solutions

Problem Overview

iPhone 17 series devices have compatibility issues with MOCREO Bluetooth LE Sensor chips, preventing users from adding sensors through the MOCREO Sensor App or MOCREO Smart App on iPhone 17 devices.

MOCREO Solutions

The latest version of MOCREO Sensor App or MOCREO Smart App has attempted to resolve this compatibility issue. Update your app to the latest version and try adding your sensor again.

Note: If the app detects that your sensor is already bound to MOCREO account, you will be prompted to unbind it first. If you are unable to unbind the device, please contact customer support at [email protected] for assistance.

Solution 2: Alternative Device Setup

If you have other phone models or tablets, you can download the MOCREO App on these devices, log in with your MOCREO account, and add your sensor through the alternative device.

The latest sensor firmware version can resolve this issue. If your sensor's current firmware version is 3.0 or higher, you can attempt to upgrade. Sensors with firmware versions below 3.0 cannot be updated via OTA.

If you only have iPhone 17 series devices and cannot directly perform OTA updates for your sensor, MOCREO provides web-based assistance for sensor OTA updates.

To update your sensor firmware:

  1. Web update portal: Coming soon
  2. Select your sensor model from the list
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update
  4. Ensure your sensor is in setup mode (blue light blinking)

Troubleshooting

  • Check your app version first and update if necessary
  • For sensors with firmware below 3.0, contact customer support at [email protected]
  • If you only have iPhone 17 devices, use the web-based OTA update solution

Note: Hub will also release firmware updates in the future to address this issue.
