How to Share Devices with Others (Multi-user Alerts)

If you have the following needs, you can achieve them through the Invite Members feature (Home Sharing) in the MOCREO App:

  • You want multiple people (such as family members or colleagues) to receive alert notifications simultaneously.
  • You want to invite others to view the real-time data and status of your devices.

By inviting others to join your MOCREO "Home" (Organization), they will gain access to the devices under that Home, allowing them to monitor data and receive alerts just like you.

How to Invite Members

Prerequisites

  • Inviter (Home Creator or Admin): You have set up the devices in your MOCREO account.
  • New Member (Invitee): They must download the MOCREO Smart App and register their own MOCREO account.

Steps

Step 1: Inviter Generates an Invitation QR Code

  1. Open the MOCREO Smart App and go to the Home where your devices are located.
  2. In the top-right corner of the Home page, tap the Member icon (the two-person outline immediately to the left of the [+] button).
  3. The Home Access window provides two options: Join a Home and Invite Members. Select Invite Members.

  4. The Home Settings page opens. Under Home Member, scroll past the current member list and tap the green Invite Members row with the [+] icon.

  5. Select the permission level for the new member, and then tap Confirm:

    • Admin: Can edit device and Home settings, move devices between Homes, and manage member access.
    • User: Can only view data in the Home and cannot change device or Home settings.

  6. An invitation QR code will be displayed. Keep this page open for the new member to scan.

Step 2: New Member Scans to Join

  1. The new member opens the MOCREO Smart App and logs in to their own account.
  2. On the Home page, tap the Member icon (the two-person outline immediately to the left of the [+] button).
  3. In the Home Access window, select Join a Home, the option with the QR code icon.
  4. In the Join Home window, tap the large green Scan Invitation QR button.
  5. Scan the invitation QR code displayed on the inviter's phone, and then follow the prompts to join the Home.

Important Notes

  1. App Scanner: Ensure the new member uses Scan Invitation QR within the MOCREO Smart App, not a generic system camera or third-party scanner.
  2. Permissions: Grant the App permission to access the camera if prompted.
  3. Time Limit: For security reasons, the QR code is valid for only 10 minutes. If it expires, the inviter must leave and re-enter the invitation page to generate a new one.
