Home Assistant Integration Guide¶
This guide explains how to add supported MOCREO BLE products to Home Assistant with the Passive BLE Monitor custom integration.
!!! note "Future MOCREO integration" MOCREO plans to develop a dedicated Home Assistant integration for MOCREO devices. Until then, Passive BLE Monitor can be used as a local BLE integration option.
Prerequisites¶
- Home Assistant installed and running
- A Bluetooth adapter, Bluetooth proxy, or other Home Assistant-compatible Bluetooth receiver that can detect nearby MOCREO BLE devices
- Internet access for downloading HACS and custom integrations
1. Install and Configure HACS¶
HACS changes over time, so follow the official HACS documentation instead of using old screenshots or UI steps:
Restart Home Assistant after HACS asks you to do so.
2. Install Passive BLE Monitor¶
After HACS is installed and configured:
- Open HACS in Home Assistant.
- Search for Passive BLE Monitor.
- Download the integration.
- Restart Home Assistant.
For the latest installation details, see the Passive BLE Monitor installation guide.
3. Add the Integration in Home Assistant¶
- Go to Settings > Devices & services.
- Select Add integration.
- Search for Passive BLE Monitor.
- Submit the default configuration unless you need custom BLE settings.
- Finish setup when Home Assistant shows the detected devices.
For advanced options, see the Passive BLE Monitor configuration parameters.
What to Expect¶
Nearby supported MOCREO BLE sensors should be added to Home Assistant automatically. Depending on the sensor broadcast interval and Bluetooth signal quality, entities may appear within a few seconds or take up to 10 minutes.
Note: This guide covers local BLE integration only. Cloud integration features are not supported by this guide.
