My Sensor Battery is Too Low—What Should I Do?

First, identify your sensor model to determine the appropriate solution.

ST5 / ST6 / ST9 / ST10 / SW2 Sensors

ST5 / ST6 / ST9 / ST10 / SW2 Sensors

Battery Type: Rechargeable lithium battery

Solution: 1. After receiving a low-battery alert from MOCREO, open the rubber cap on the sensor housing 2. Charge the sensor using the supplied power adapter and cable 3. The red LED indicator will stay on during charging and turn off when fully charged 4. The entire charging process takes approximately 1 hour 5. After charging, if the battery level doesn't update immediately: - Place the sensor next to the Hub - Press the pinhole button for 1 second - Check the MOCREO app to verify the battery level has updated

⚠️ Important Warning:

  • Leaving the sensor at low battery levels for extended periods (battery over-discharge) can cause the battery to swell, which is extremely dangerous. Charge your sensor promptly and unplug once fully charged.

  • Overcharging can also damage the battery and affect the normal operation of the sensor.

MS1 / MS2 / MS3 / LS1 / LS2 / LS3 / LW1 / LD1 Sensors

MS1 / MS2 / MS3 / LS1 / LS2 / LS3 / LW1 / LD1 Sensors

Battery Type: AAA batteries

Solution: 1. After receiving a low-battery alert from MOCREO, remove the sensor's battery cover 2. Replace with new AAA batteries 3. Reassemble the sensor

If the battery level still shows low after replacing the batteries:

  1. Short press the Sensor Setup button firmly for about 1 second. The blue status indicator should flash once.
  2. Check whether the Hub has updated the sensor battery value: Hub right screen > Sensor (App) > select the sensor with the knob > press the knob twice to enter the sensor detail page > real-time battery value.
  3. If the Hub battery value has updated, check the MOCREO app again to confirm whether the app has synced the latest value.
  4. If the Hub battery value still has not updated, remove the batteries again, wait 1-2 minutes, reinstall the batteries, and check the Hub and app again.

Note for LS1 Sensors: If your LS1 sensor is deployed in a cold environment, ensure the replacement batteries are rated for low-temperature operation.

ST8 Sensors

ST8 Sensors

Battery Type: 9V 6LR61 battery

Solution: 1. After receiving a low-battery alert from MOCREO, remove the sensor's battery cover 2. Replace with a new 9V 6LR61 battery 3. Reassemble the sensor

If the battery level still shows low after replacing the battery:

  4. If the Hub battery value still has not updated, remove the battery again, wait 1-2 minutes, reinstall the battery, and check the Hub and app again.
SD1 Sensor

SD1 Sensor

Battery Type: Rechargeable lithium battery, 3.7 V, 2000 mAh

Solution:

  1. Connect the SD1 to a 5 V / 1 A power source using a USB-C cable.
  2. Allow the battery to charge before continuing to use the Sensor.
  3. Confirm that the SD1 powers on and that its battery status appears normally in the MOCREO Smart App.
