What should I do if the external probe of the sensor has disconnected?

Troubleshooting steps

We recommend that you first verify whether the probe you are currently using is external or internal.

External probe

  1. Please check if the probe connection is loose.

  2. Clean the connection point between the probe and the sensor body

    For any sensor that uses an external probe, unplug the probe, clean the connector gently, reinsert it firmly, and wait a few seconds to see if readings resume.

    For ST5 sensors running firmware earlier than v3.0, unplug the probe, wipe the connector with a damp cloth to remove static, follow with a dry cloth, then plug it back in.

  3. If you have multiple devices of the same model, you can identify whether the issue lies with the probe or the device itself by swapping probes
